Vark! A human Google
It has been a while since I have updated my blog and even longer since I have been throughly delighted by a new web 2.0 app.
Aardvark. Vark for short. Is something I recently stumbled across and can’t seem to get enough of it.
Vark is a community based question service that taps into your existing network of friends via various social media sites as well as it’s own very expanding community.
Think of it like yahoo questions on steriods.
Each user sets up his or her profile with keywords for subjects that they would like to answer. Varks magic does the rest.

Simply send an email or IM or googletalk to vark with a keyword of the subject matter and within minutes you have a number of answers from other Varkers.
Works with:
- Gmail Chat
- Google Talk
- Yahoo! Messenger
- AIM and AIM.com
- MSN Messenger
- Windows Live
- Hotmail
- Any website or app you use to send email
The service, thus far, has been a tremendous help with getting some real human reviews on products and finding long lost resources that I couldn’t get out of Google.
